Input Device

For easier use, we recommend using an input device. You can use commercially available switches with this, and it helps keep the wires organized. The instructions on how to make one can be found here

Plug in Your Input Device

Tablet: Plug the red cord into the input device on the side. Plug the red cord into the converter and plug the converter into the iPad.

Computer: Plug the red cord into the input device and the USB into the computer.

Now that you have your input device set up, add your switches or head over to the Switches page to make some!

How to set up and iPad for switch control

1. Plug in your switch into the MakeyMakey and plug the MakeyMakey into the iPad
2. Go to the Accessibility section in settings and click “Switch Control”
3. Select “Switches”
4. Select “Add New Switch”
5. Press your switch and give it a name
6. Select which action you want your switch to perform

Play A Game!

Now that everything is set up, you can start playing games with your switch kit! Head over to scratch.mit.edu to make your own games or use your spreadsheet on the Games page to find games for your kit!
